Often times it's hard to figure out the resources that could help. The following are several local resources to help point you in the right direction.

NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN SERVICES (NDVS)

NDVS is our states' Veterans Support Agency which exist to help veterans and their families with the benefits and services earned through your service to our nation. We encourage you to visit their Benefits & Services page to learn more about what you might be eligible for.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE

Whether you need help staying in your home or are looking to purchase, there are resources available.

Nations Finest: This resource helps prevent veteran homelessness through their grants.
VAREP: Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals - This group of specialized realtors specialize in helping veterans use all of their benefits to purchase a home.
Home is Possible for Heroes: This program offered by the state of Nevada helps Veterans overcome the barriers to purchasing a home.

FOOD BANKS

Our community is served by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and they work in partnership with Nations Finest to assist our Veterans and their Families who are in need. Please call 775-284-8387 to find out when they are open.
